General DescriptionThe XL4016 is a 180 KHz fixed frequencyPWM buck (step-down) DC/DC converter,capable of driving a 8A load with highefficiency, low ripple and excellent line andload regulation. Requiring a minimumnumber of external components, the regulatoris simple to use and include internalfrequency compensation and afixed-frequency oscillator.The PWM control circuit is able to adjust theduty ratio linearly from 0 to 100%. An overcurrent protection function is built inside.When short protection function happens, theoperation frequency will be reduced from180KHz to 48KHz. An internal compensationblock is built in to minimize externalcomponent count.
